The Starbucks Corporation announced Monday that it is launching its own promotions to help the coffee chain keep up with the growing demand for its signature beverage.
The company said that the new promotions will offer “only 3 million customers” the chance to score the popular “Taco Bell Promo” when they sign up for a free Starbucks membership.
This promotion is available only through Starbucks and will be available for the next 30 days, Starbucks said in a statement.
Starbucks has struggled with a shortage of fresh food in recent years as the nation’s population ages and the number of people living in cities grows.
The company recently launched a campaign to help curb the food waste in the country, but has also faced criticism for a lack of action on the part of the food industry.
The Starbucks promotion is one of several new initiatives the company is rolling out as part of its efforts to make sure its stores are stocked with fresh food.
The coffee giant said it plans to open more than 500 locations across the U.S. by the end of 2018, and hopes to reach 1.6 million outlets by the middle of 2019.
It plans to expand the number in 2019, with about 700 stores across the country planned by then.
Starbuck has struggled to keep up as more and more people turn to fast-food and other fast-casual dining outlets as their main sources of dining.
The corporation has been trying to crack down on food waste, with new efforts like a new “taco bar” at its flagship store in Chicago that offers a selection of delicious, fast-moving tacos.
