New video from Verizon and a partner show “super-speed” Wi-fi in San Fran.
The video was posted online Friday by a group called the California Wi-Wifi Alliance, which said it was a “first in the nation” demonstration of the technology.
It shows a Verizon Wireless employee in the San Francisco area using the Wi-Tech device, which can go up to 10 gigabytes per second, according to the video.
The Wi-Power is being used in an effort to help San Francisco residents maintain a stable internet connection, according the video’s description.
Verizon said in a statement that the WiTech devices have been tested in New York and San Diego, but that they are not yet available in San Jose, Santa Clara, or Oakland.
