Uber is expanding its offerings to include UberEats, the online food delivery service, to the New York City subway system.
The company says it will pay drivers for each order they deliver to the train cars.
UberEats was initially limited to limited routes in NYC because of the subway’s limited number of seats.
However, UberEATS will be offering its services in the subway for a limited time.
This will help drive down food costs.
Uber says its UberEAT service allows riders to order food from select restaurants on the platform and pick it up in their car, where they can then deliver it to the person waiting for it.
UberEat users can pick from a wide variety of restaurants, from fast-casual chain outlets to the more upscale restaurants and gourmet food chains.
The UberEater app lets riders order food online from a list of thousands of restaurants across the country.
